About Us
The aim of the Catholic Women's League is to support our Parish using the talents we have.
To provide an opportunity for women of the Parish to meet socially and support local and national
charities. And also to give love and support to our members and parishioners at a time of need.
Our Patron is St. Margaret Clitherow. This year is our Centenary also - founded in 1906, the
Catholic Women's League is a founder member of the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations
Our core value and work focus on the following:
· Parish & Community
· Support for people in need connected with the Services
· Our Lady's Catechists
· Health and Social Concern
· International support for women and children in need
· Ecumenical and interfaith activities including
· Support for Refugees & Asylum Seekers

The League unites Catholic Women in a bond of fellowship for the promotion of religious,
social and charitable works
The League is represented throughout England and Wales and is able to Social, Ethical and
Educational needs
The League is represented on secular societies, national public bodies and Catholic
organisations
The League provides and excellent opportunity to work beside members of other faiths and in
the spirit of Ecumenism
As an associate of the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations our concerns and views
are represented at the UN, EU, UNICEF, UNESCO and other international bodies
The objectives and work of the League fulfil the directives of Vatican II in the Decree of
the Apostolate of the Laity
