The Forum of Churches Together consists of representatives of churches in the town plus associate members - e.g. YMCA, Company at Christmas, Holiday Bible Week.

The principal aims are to seek the deepening of their communion with Christ and with one another in the Church, and to proclaim the gospel by common witness and service in the world.

In order to do this effectively they seek to achieve things, which are either not possible for a single congregation or better achieved together. They also help churches to share resources and work together on projects of mutual interest and share ideas and best practice in serving the needs of the wider community (such as the Street Pastor scheme).
