The Group seeks to raise awareness within the Parish of social justice issues both in the UK and worldwide - e.g. homelessness, hunger, poverty, third world debt, fair trade, refugees.

It supports and raises funds for organisations such as CAFOD, Christian Aid, Housing Justice, Amnesty International and the Fairtrade Foundation. It also runs the "Penny Collection" proceeds of which are donated to a variety of worthy causes, often small projects with a parish connection, the current one being a small school in Rwanda which needs new classrooms, desks, doors and windows. From time to time the group also runs fund raising events such as lunches, cake and book sales.
