Parish Newsletter

The Parish Newsletter is published weekly and provides up to date information about the coming weeks events and any changes to mass times. It is available at all Sunday masses including the Saturday vigil.

Notices for the Newsletter should be in No 3 no later than 12 noon on Wednesday either by email or in writing.

C.T.S. Publications

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it is all too easy to lose track of developments taking place in the Catholic Church. The Catholic Truth Society (CTS) provides a range of inexpensive booklets that address the Catholic approach to issues such as abortion, contraception, homosexuality and divorce. Other booklets cover the lives of various popular saints as well as simple devotions and prayers. Most cost less than £2 and some as little as 20p.

You'll find a CTS bookstand at the back of the church, adjacent to the main door. Why not take a look on your next visit - chances are you are sure to find something of interest! If there is a topic of particular interest to you which is not there, please drop a note into No.3 and we will see if we can obtain it for you.

Altar Servers

We have a large complement of Altar Servers. Their role is to help the priests and the Parish in the celebration of the Mass. Their duties require commitment, calmness and reverence.

Boys and girls who have made their First Communion may join. If you wish to help at Mass by becoming an Altar Server please contact Canon Eddie or the parish office.

Readers

Proclaiming the Word of God is one of the essential parts of the liturgy, and one in which lay people can participate. We have a rota of readers for masses and would welcome anyone who wishes to read.
